Project X has been billing itself as the holy grail of high school party movies, even going as far as to use the catchphrase “Superbad on steroids.” Those are pretty lofty expectations, but if these four new clips are any indication, the film might just pull it off. In addition to being a great preview for the movie’s insanity, these clips are also a great crash course in high school partying 101.

If you need a reminder as to why you’d throw a party in the first place…here it is.

Always remember to get the phone call with your parents out of the way. The longer you wait, the greater chance they start to worry (and suspect something).

If you ever have a run in with the police, recite this conversation word-for-word. Just be warned that there is a 0% chance your friends will remain as quiet as the ones at this party.

Um, if you have a little person at your party, it’s probably a good idea NOT to stick them in the oven. Just sayin’.

Synopsis: “Project X” follows three seemingly anonymous high school seniors as they attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let’s throw a party that no one will forget… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. “Project X” is a warning to parents and police everywhere. This film has been rated R for crude and sexual content throughout, nudity, drugs, drinking, pervasive language, reckless behavior and mayhem-all involving teens.
