It was in the fall of 2010 when Demi Lovato dropped out of a tour with The Jonas Brothers to go into rehab. Now, she’ll be sharing what led her to seek treatment, what it was like, and her personal struggles along the way. Check out a trailer for the upcoming show and find out when you’ll be able to see it on MTV, below.

In a statement released about this project, Lovato shared her reasons for doing it:

“I wanted to share my story but I knew it had to be honest, it had to be real. I have daily challenges but so do many kids who are struggling to feel comfortable in their own skin. If opening up and sharing my story inspires even one person to stay strong or to get the help they need, I’ve succeeded.”
