Ultimate pleasure is not found in short-lived thrills...that this world offers...King Solomon learned this the hard way..."I refused my heart no pleasure,"...he admitted.~Eccl 2:10...But after his pleasure-seeking spree..he concluded..."everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind."~v.11...It's no wonder Solomon warned,..."He who loves pleasure will be a poor man."~Prov. 21:17...The world is filled with so much that seems good,...that brings us superficial joy & pleasure...What we are really looking for is satisfied only in a fulfilling relationship with Jesus...Chasing after Jesus...will keep us satisfied for life...♥

    The Impact of Prayer

May 24 The Impact of Prayer 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 Prayer is the lifeblood of an intimate relationship with the Father. But believers often have questions about its power and effectiveness. Don't hesitate to take your queries to the Lord, dig into Scripture for answers, and seek the counsel of a trusted spiritual mentor. Prayer is too important to neglect. Will God's plans fail if I don't pray? God is not subservient to believers or dependent upon their prayers. The time we invest in speaking with Him involves us in the work that He is doing in our lives and in the world, but He will carry on without us.Laboring alongside the Lord is our privilege. Does my prayer (or lack thereof) impact God's work? I believe that Scripture indicates the answer to this question is both yes and no, depending upon the situation. There are times when God's purpose is set. He is in control and has determined the best course. In the Old Testament, the Lord often prophesied what He would do and then brought those events to pass. In other cases, "you do not have because you do not ask" (James 4:2). There are some good things that He holds back until we put out prayerful hands to receive them. But because God is a loving Father, He also pours our blessings that we wouldn't even think to request. Believer's prayers have tremendous impact, particularly on their own faith and life. Do you understand what an awesome privilege it is to kneel before the all-powerful Father and know that He listens and will respond? God loves to be good to His children and answer their prayers. For more biblical teaching and resources from Dr. Charles Stanley, please visit www.intouch.org . Used with permission from In Touch Ministries, Inc. © 2009 All Rights Reserved.

One north georgia man got more than he bargained for when he
bought a car from a towing company late last year. Officials with the Cherokee
County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that Tye Kuykendall found $200,000 in
counterfeit money inside a hidden compartment behind the back seat of the car. ***MARLAR: And you thought the “Cash for

We are what we eat. Those things we entertain become our motives and desires. We tend to imitate without thought those things that we hear & see. We are like sponges, so we need to make sure we are taking in the right things. Nutrients, proteins and fiber if used on a daily basis is beneficial in many ways; for our inward and outward parts. Sugars, salts and fats may seem to have a good taste but soon after we feel and see the consequences of our poor chooses. We have been giving our bodies to take care of them, not to corrupt or defile them. We must, daily, do inventory and rightly manage or minds, bodies and souls. GOD'S Word is a perfect source of what we need, to be good stewards of our bodies. Many people have lost their lives to make this valuable resource available to us.Repent (turn totally away) from sin. Be baptized in The Name of Jesus Christ and ask to be filled with & directed by THE SPIRIT OF GOD. Prayerfully study, apply and obey The Word of GOD, no matter what others are saying or doing. FATHER GOD, in The Name of Jesus Christ we come before YOU, thankful for life this day YOU have made. Please, have mercy on us and forgive us of our sins. We may not always do the right things, so we need YOU to give us strength to turn from our wicked ways. We cannot do it without YOU.

About me:

Hi! I'm Peggy Jean and I love the Lord. In the times we live in I know it is not popular to "Live for Jesus", but He is my King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is coming very soon. If you do not have an inter peace when you lay down at night to go to sleep...then you need to ask Jesus to come into your life and be your Lord. He and only He can fulfill the emptiness that you have inside. You can search the world over but until Jesus is your Lord....you will always have an empty feeling deep inside. Jesus died for your sins so that you can have eternal life. Man...what a God...No other would do that for you. I have a wonderful husband of 37 years who loves the Lord also. Two great kids and three grandkids. I love to sing (just using what the good Lord gave me). Love to meet people and talk about the Lord. Bet you couldn't guess. Right? God has blessed me greatly. I live on the lake and look at the beauty that God has created. Man what an awesome God I serve!
