The mission of this non-for-profit organization is to create music and shows that fusion electronic arts and traditional theatrical arts. ..Mïka the founder focuses his work on telling stories by any media possible and imaginable. By consequence, POD Theatre is a multidisciplinary company that has up to this day reunited artist from the technological field, dancers, cabaret singers, classical singers and musicians from the classical and pop field. ....Our mission.. ..Théâtre POD being a multidisciplinary organization, has as first mission to entertain and create a meeting place for an audience from different worlds (electronic, contemporary, opera, theatre) by creating new artistic concepts (events, shows, installations, etc .) that use expressive means coming from technological arts, conventional musical arts and theatrical arts. Much thought and consideration is focused on adapting the interpretation of modern and classical musical repertoire to the taste of today’s youth. This process encourages an interactive exchange between the world of new media and fine arts. ....POD Signature.. ..Théâtre POD has a unique signature. Its objective is to accompany spectators through tales that are sometimes dark and sometimes satirical as they suggest a cynical vision of the world in which our society evolves. Through poetry done through sounds and images, Théâtre POD invites its audience to observe social phenomenon’s around it by using simple themes taken from selected works and scenarios that it develops. Through these themes, Théâtre POD explores the subjects of life and death, freedom of thought, childhood and innocence, sensuality, isolation and love. Théâtre POD is a noble decadence of stage arts; it is the explosion of conventional arts at the profit of technological artistic adventure. It is the reunion of universes and audiences that only have rare occasions to meet. ....POD Team.. ..Théâtre POD’s team comprises artist that works mainly in the area of Montréal. Rich in individuals that come from different fields: dance, music (popular, electronic, contemporary or classical) or from cinema, this team differentiates itself by it’s will to create different and innovative events and also by its entrepreneurship demonstrated several times in the past. POD’s team was at first supported by institutions like the Opéra de Montréal and la Société des Arts Technologiques, and desires now to become autonomous and create its own ambitions and artistic processes. ..Théâtre POD stands out by the interdisciplinary nature of its projects.
