    SSO was founded in the very late 80ies by gong-percussionist JENS ZYGAR and the keyboard-wizzard STEVE SCHROYDER. The unique sound derives from the combination of the electronic sounds with the tremendous acoustics of the planetary tuned gongs. Jens was the first person ever (and still so far the only?) who performes with a huge planetary tuned gong-orchestra; where each instrument vibrates in resonance with one of the basic frequencies of the planets of our solar system. STEVE started his musical career even much earlier with the legendary Tangerine Dream, some great pioneers of electronic music. Both musicans united their creative visions within the concepts of the COSMIC OCTAVE, a scientific discipline that deals with the expressions of the harmonical structures of nature within cosmic, spheric ambient, meditation and trance music. STAR SOUNDS ORCHESTRA hit various genres in their almost 20 years ongoing underground of the underground career, starting from the deep insights of BERLIN SCHOOL, crossing the spectrum of musical styles from hard core new age to contemporary electronic trance music; SSO never ever lost its souls to any guru but to the one source of everything, which is M U S I C & S O U N D!
