    Jaywalker “There’s a certain subtle grace and intelligence in this collection of acoustic pop/rock songs, delivered with enough quiet passion….” Michael Smith, Drum Media. So says one of Australia’s leading music journalists. The heart and soul of Jaywalker are Jason Hicks and Bob Allans, who together write and steer the creative direction of the band. Formed just a few years ago, Jaywalker have moved ahead in leaps and bounds, since their independent debut release of both their self titled EP and single ‘You Live, You Learn. They have been quietly earning the recognition they deserve by building their following through high profile supports for artists such as Aria Award winner (Grammy equivalent) Kate Miller Hiedke, Xavier Rudd, Diesel and Jack Jones. And are now represented by Tony Grace, the head of the prominent Harbor Agency. Jaywalker were recently nominated in four categories in the 2009 Newcastle Music awards ,with Jason Hicks taking home the award for Best Male Vocal. They were also runners up in the 2007 People Choice Category of the Australian Music Awards. Jaywalker were featured on several advertising and web campaigns in the US and part of the Kim Crawford music lounge which caught the eye of several high-profile music supervisors. As a result their music will be featured on network US TV in 2010. The band are currently recording their debut full length Album “The Light and Shade, set for release on February 12th through MGM and will be part of a nation wide Sanity Records campaign; “Breaking New Artists” promotion. The release will coincide with their first headlining tour, starting February 11th and comprising 20 dates across the east coast of Australia.
