    Apocalyptic Anti-Human Annihilation
Argh! SOUL DEVOUR is definitly one of the promising band hailing from South East Asia!
Their brutal black/death is very catchy and sound very professional!
It's quite conventional in the genre but never linear, and they know how to mixed different tempo and atmosphere in order to hold spellbound the auditors.
The line up include the ex-drummer of IMPIETY and maybe you can find here and there some similitude with their late style.
They also play a cover of MORBID ANGEL "Dominate" who quite good.
A band to discover for sure, but anyway I recommended you the demo who is even more better!

    Soul Devour demo
This is one of the best suprise if this issue! A Singaporean band named SOUL DEVOUR! This demo kick ass!!!
It's a great combination of modern Death Metal with a great powerful production played with soul with some old school influence!
This demo contained 3 songs from the band, 2 well played cover("Crystal Mountain" from DEATH and a live version of "A Skull full of Maggots" from CANNIBAL CORPSE),
and 2 live songs with a correct quality of sound(both song feature in the same record their demo version).
For people who know the first full length "Apocalyptic Anti-Human Annihilation", I can tell them that the demo is even better!
I never get bored to listen it again and again. Support or die!!!

    Black Ritual of Satan
Well, a split album with Peruvian black metallers BLACK ANGEL...
so far, I cannot say that I was really fan of what clear than what I'm familiar with their past work and give a more powerful aspect to their quite traditional black metal. Enjoyable!
What about the Korean band ADOKHSINY?
We talk again about a Black Metal band but this time with an important Death Metal side.
It's far to be very original but it's well done and give you all that you are waiting for from an underground band.
A decent underground release but it shouldn't be your priority.

    Profano
ANCIENT HORNS is a black metal band let's say in a Swedish vein, hailing from Philippines.
Their black metal is fast and aggressive but they never forget to make it sound melodic enough.
I cannot say that ANCIENT HORNS music is unique or even original because it's not case at all... but I should admit that I appreciate this album a lot.
The production is perfect for the style in my opinion : a very well underground production(I don't like too much "too clean prod").
Sometimes it's hard to explain why a band keep your attention more than another one, and for me, that's what's happened with ANCIENT HORNS.
Don't wait for a revolution, but it's more than enjoyable and well done Black Metal. I like it!

Black Angel / Adokhsiny – Black Ritual of Satan(2010)
Combining bestial black metal assault with old school death metal punishment, ‘Black Ritual of Satan’ is a triumphant victory in the war against the flock of god. Peruvian lords of darkness Black Angel offer 4 incantations from beyond the grave while South Korea’s Adokhsiny drive the final 3 nails into the coffin lid.
Released in January on CD by Infernal Kaos Productions, ‘Black Ritual of Satan’ does little to dress old bones in new skin in favor of simply crushing them with a furious and blinding warfare.
The 4 offerings from Black Angel are fast and sharp as a switchblade, slicing through the dark night air and into anything in their path. ‘After Death’ and ‘Occult Past’ blur the senses and are relentless in their chaotic attack. I liken the effect to repeatedly stabbing the corpse long after the heart became motionless and the blood ceased to pump…that certain blind rage is a fitting description for the violence and madness that you will hear from Black Angel. I can’t say that the guitar work or song structure is at all technical, epic or prog…it just fucking kills you. The drums keep things interesting and change the feel quite often which helps divert the attention away from the somewhat uninspiring guitar passages. Contains the track, ‘The Hell’, which first appeared as early as 2002.
Completing the ‘Black Ritual of Satan’ is South Korea’s Adokhsiny, a three piece whose style mixing death vo-kills with blasting drums and the occasional simplistic early thrash guitar riffs. ‘Ritual of Lust’ and ‘Triumph of Bestial Desecrator’ really caught my ear since they both start off with the same hi-hats count off and launch into very similar opening passages…I listened back and forth in disbelief at how much they sound the same. Luckily, both tracks lead into different and original directions. The former, which may be the strongest track, dominates with a strong vo-kill assault, blasting verses and strong bridge. ‘Triumph of Bestial Desecrator’ sets an early 80’s thrash riff a la ‘Kill ‘em All’ on top of a furious battery of drums and manages to raise the level of intensity a few more times to completely obliterate the listener. Even a few ‘guitar solos’, which are really just some direction-less scribbles with a whammy bar, make their way into the three tracks from Adokhsiny, offering yet another layer of diversity in their sound.
All in all, ‘Black Ritual of Satan’ is an album that is a good experience but doesn’t compel the listener to become completely enthralled with any tracks. If I were to go find another release by either band and could only pick one, it would be Black Angel…and since Black Angel has a shitload of releases, this shouldn’t be a problem. While the style of Adokhsiny was refreshing, it just didn’t make me beg for mercy…but that is just me. Spill your blood in a ‘Black Ritual of Satan’!

    Soul Devour - Apocalyptic Anti-Human Annihilation(2010)
The crackle of burning bodies…the clash of cold steel…and the screams of the innocent. These are the horrors that invoke ‘Apocalyptic Anti-Human Annihilation’, the full length monstrosity from South Korea’s Soul Devour. Featuring members of Adokhsiny, Cardiac Necropsy and Dusk, Soul Devour have waged a war against posers and pussies everywhere with this furious and unforgiving release on Infernal Kaos Productions.
After the dying screams of the intro fade away, Soul Devour launch into the crushing track ‘Exterminated Haskalah’, punishing the listener with blasting death metal aggression that brings you back to the glory days of death…think back…long before a haircut could make one ‘brootal’. I don’t know how old these fuckers are but they don’t mess around for one minute with this release. The pummeling fists of ‘Heretic Holocaust’ whip your ass in three and a half flat just before ‘Rise of the Anti-Christ’ lays your broken body upon the altar of death. The same goes for ‘Soul Devour’…a violent onslaught complete with neck-snapping shifts in rhythm, dual disemboweled vocals and enough killer guitar work to make you feel like a chump for not practicing.
My only bitch about this album, since the band make it so apparent as to their worship of Morbid Angel, is how much they sound similar at times. I can’t really complain, MA set the fucking standard and just about everyone has borrowed from them at one point or another…all artists, no matter what medium, do it…its just some are better at hiding it than others. The rhythm guitars crush in true death metal fashion (think Blessed Are the Sick), the lead guitars are appropriate and their cover of ‘Dominate’ closes out ‘Apocalytic…’ in noble fashion.
If there is anything left of your carcass after this album is over, which is too soon, clocking in at only 28 minutes, play it again until you are completely ‘Annihilated’!

Extirpation – Tormentor Supreme Black Katharsis(2010)
Spanish war-monger, I. Skullcrushed, washes the blood off his hands with napalm. Actually, scratch that, he doesn’t wash the blood off at all. Tormentor Supreme Black Katharsis, the debut full length from one-man cult Extripation, with its endless storm of gunfire drums and gut-wrenching vocals, shows no mercy to the weak or the wise…
Within seconds of experiencing Extirpation, your flesh is aflame and blood is pooling around your feet. Crushing vocals batter in your face on every track while the drums never run out of ammunition. Rarely slowing their assault for even a few bars, the relentless fury of the rhythm section may be my biggest bitch about Tormentor Supreme… The guitar work is neither flashy nor bland but could have really benefited from a half-time or, in this case, a quarter-time feel from the back-beat. Domini Inferi Mephistopheles really manages to keep the pace under control for more than thirty seconds which is a shame since the riffs are good mix of atmospheric terror and thrashing death destruction. A blast beat that is this fucking fast and programmed can get old but hey, that is just my take on it.
Tormentor Supreme Black Katharsis confronts the opposition with an army of well-armed, blood-vomiting devil worshipers who thrive on chaos and hatred. Each track is more abusive than the last and ensures your demise is well within your own grasp. The title track probably makes the most out what this bestial album has to offer but it is at this time my ears perk up and I ask aloud, ‘Where is the bass’? After five tracks, I realize how thin the guitars really are and there is no bottom end to the album! I probably would have noticed this if I wasn’t trying to keep up with the maddening pace of the album, which, in places, actually speeds up the tempo mid-song as if it was just a little too slow!
Given that Extirpation thank Black Witchery and Bestial Warlust in the liner notes, I would not be guessing that the next release will contain any fairy-forest-folk-metal bullshit. This is what war sounds like when Satan is the Commander-in-Chief!

Black Angel / Adokhsiny – Black Ritual of Satan(2010)
East meets West in this epic expedition, with Peru's Black Angel and South Korea's Adokhsiny joining forces and wielding Blackened Death Metal to the extreme, these are two of the most promising acts in the underground yet to be unearthed by the Metal music media. Even though both bands opt for satanic lyrics, not just bound to the Norwegian Black Metal scene, but now globally Satanism is appearing everywhere. In two countries where Christianity is both prevalent, it is a wonder how this music was let out, none the less; they are both performing the 'Black Ritual Of Satan'.

Land Of Hate – Neutralized Existence(2009)
2009 saw Italy's newest Death Thrashers concoct their debut release 'Neutralized Existence' and with it the leaning tower of Pisa got knocked down by the severe ampage of the guitars, the deep growling and insane drumming, these guys dont run on carbohydrates from their beloved pasta but more from Duracell batteries, endless ferocious striking on the sound waves are just one aspect that this band exhibit during this extravagant display of blood, sweat and Italian wizardry, call it what you want, Land of Hate has just 'Neutralized Existence' forever.

    Soul Devour – Apocalyptic Anti-Human Annihilation(2010)
Arising from Singapore, Soul Devour deploy their debut album in a stylistic way, combining guttural vocals with fury-loaded instrumental compositions, Soul Devour are one Death Metal band worth taking note of. 8 tracks of pure genius Death Metal sonatas are supplemented with a Morbid Angel cover, some say this album is the cause of a thousand slaughters, its brutality is extreme yet its originality remains intact, time for a feast of Singaporean meat.

    Ancient Horns – Profano(2009)
Summoning the darkness of the Oriental is Ancient Horns, a Blackened Death Metal quartet from The Philippines. Combining Behemoth style music and Filipino wraith, Ancient Horns are another band flying the flag for the Filipino Metal scene. Signed to South Korean label Infernal Kaos Productions, Ancient Horns are predominantly storming the Asian underground and with their debut album 'Profano' coming into existence in 2009, they have more points to make, with faster blistering drumming, furious strumming and nerve-wrecking vocals, its time to go oriental.
