My name is Meredith and I was born and raised in New York City. I have always been interested in music and I have a strong passion for Dancehall music, Afrobeat, and working out. I love the vibrant powerful urban sound of hip-hop and that eventually led me to my love for Dancehall/Reggae and Afrobeat. Hearing the beats of Dancehall music is what hooked me immediately, and once you get past the accents you can hear that these artists are really spitting some shit. The beats to this music are crazy thanks to all the sick producers. I love all of the instrumental sounds of Afrobeat and I think it has the best beats. How could music like that not make you feel something or make you want to dance? I love the fact that so many Dancehall artists are so underground, kind of like how hip-hop used to be. Lucky for me, Dancehall has become well established in NYC and some of my favorite performers include Serani, Mavado, Vybz Kartel, Buju Banton, Bounty Killa, Beenie Man, and the many others who have transcended Dancehall music with their unforgettable lyrics and extraordinary delivery. I am constantly searching for new artists and crazy beats to share with others. I think that BTR is the perfect fit for me because it lets me tie in my passion for music and exercise. I love being able to merge the two together to bring listeners music that they will hunger for. Check out my three shows, Caribbean Fever, Xtreme Endurance and The Afrobeat Show.
