Bio:

Sonja Elise Freeman "Queen Diva" , "queen" which means "highest form of royalty for a woman" and "diva" stems from "divine" and it means "sent by God," was born in Queens, New York but raised in Houston, Texas. DIVA was given a "divine" vision to create Divine Voices Media with a mission to inspire, elevate and encourage youth and young adults to embrace their vision and live up to the greatness that lies within them and minister all over the world through all genres. Our primary focus is to educate and serve youth and young adults of the world who are highly influenced by Urban culture and music to strive for inner peace as well as their career goals. A proud graduate of Willowridge High School in Sugarland, Texas and Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas Bachelor of Arts in Music/Fashion Merchandising & Design under the direction of the Late Dr. Ruby N. Hebert (Voice), the Late Prof George Edwards (Music Theory) Dr Danny Kelley and Dr. Vicki Seldon (Sight Singing & Piano respectively). She has also studied at Rice University Continuing Studies Program-Music Business(Composition) under Dr. Arthur Gottschaulk (EMI Publishing). In recent years DIVA has studied at the Pacific Garden Mission Women Old Lighthouse Bible Studies Program in Chicago, Ill and in April 2009 will receive a Leadership Certificate from the Inspire Women Institute Leadership Certificate Program at the Dallas Theological Seminary School. She is also studying Operating in the Anointing in the Benny Hinn School of Ministry Online-Summer 2010! She a member of World Changers Church International-Houston Satellite Church! She is the Music Administrator and Praise Team Leader for the charter Praise & Worship Team! Queen Diva released her debut Electronica/Gospel House/Dance single "Just Ordinary People" in April 2010!
