Bio:

Hello. You have found the personal Internet Home of the Metal vocalist Chaz Bond. I am currently the voice of three different bands. Today I am mostly known as the vocalist of the Melodic Metal band JACOBS DREAM. However, although lesser known at the moment, I also front the bands HUMAN PARADOX and BIOGENESIS. I was born to be a vocalist and song writer. It is my one true passion. When I am to old to perform I will be able to look back to the road that I have paved with a proud smile.

My goal as a vocalist is to become a positive force in the lives of those who listen to my music. I want to shed a light in a time of Darkness. I want to encourage and instill hope and happiness in a world that is often cruel and misleading. Nothing makes me more proud of my work as a musician than when I know I have helped even just one person in even the smallest way. This is my life. This is who I am and what I was born to do.

Outside of music I am a very blessed husband and a proud father. I am married to a beautiful Puerto Rican Woman whom I met while playing a Live JACOBS DREAM show in Puerto Rico. While living in Puerto Rico she (Raquel) was the vocalist of a Metal band called SOTERIA. We also have a small little angel named Zariah. These two girls are the two most important people in my life and I love them both dearly. In the past I used to teach Martial Arts. This passion is not as strong as it once was due to my music path. However I will always be proud of the knowledge and skills that I had achieved in those years.

About "JACOBS DREAM"

Jacobs Dream is a melodic Metal band that became well known around the world after signing with METAL BLADE RECORDS. The bands first two albums (Self Titled in 2000 and Theater Of War in 2001) featured the original JD front man David Taylor. I became friends with the band during a time when my original band BIOGENESIS was often sharing the stage with them. In 2003 David Taylor announced that he was stepping down as the vocalist. That is where I come in.

After the band spent alot of time searching for the man to replace Taylor I was eventually contacted and was offered a try out. Since joining I have recorded the last three albums with the band. (Drama Of The Ages "Metal Blade Records" 2005, Dominion Of Darkness "Independent" 2008 and Beneath The Shadows "Retroactive Records" 2009) The band released its first ever music video "Welcome To My World" alongside the album "Beneath The Shadows". About "HUMAN PARADOX"
In 2005 my original band BIOGENESIS had split up. Although I was now a member of JACOBS DREAM I was longing to create a unique band that would sound different than JD and would fill the void that Bio left behind. Like a God send I was fortunate to land with some of the best musicians that I have ever had the privilege to call my band mates. I was performing Live with JD one night in Dayton Ohio and i was approached by Dayton Guitar Legend Darin J. Moore. Darin has received notoriety with his original band LEGACY and their deal with NIGHTMARE RECORDS as well as his famous BUILDING A SHRED ARSENAL" Guitar Instructional DVDs. Legacy and NEGATIVE PROCESS drummer Andy Hall would soon join us and the writing began.

Over the past five years HP has maintained its core line up of Darin Moore, Andy Hall and myself. However we had a revolving door going with Bass players until we were joined with COVERED IN SCARS Bassist Zack Ryan. HP has been recording its Debut album and will announce a release date some time this year. The bands single "Silent Chaos" was featured on a Prog Power Fest 7 Compilation CD in 2009. Upon the completion of our first release we are planning to search for a potential Label to call home. We are currently playing Live shows and have received some great reviews so far. The music of HP is very difficult to describe and is definitely the most technically proficient of all my bands. There is a very unique blend of Melodic Metal, Progressive, Modern Groove, Death metal and so on with unique sound that can only be described as Human Paradox. http://www.myspace.com/humanparadox

About BIOGENESIS

I formed Biogenesis myself back in 1996. I wanted to be in a unique band that would blend heavy and melodic styles into one awesome sound. After some lineup changes over the years the band was discovered and signed by the Australian Label ROWE PRODUCTIONS. In 2001 our first album "The Mark Bleeds Through" was released. This was the moment that my personal notoriety as a vocalist began. It is also what ultimately lead me down the path of Joining JACOBS DREAM as well. In 2002 the band went on a U.S Tour with Australian Christian Death Metal band MORTIFICATION. That same year a single (Fall Back) was released on a compilation disc. This song was produced by Jimmy P. Brown of DELIVERANCE. Although a second album was written and planned the band separated in 2005.

In 2009 long time Bio Guitarist James Riggs convinced me to do a reunion album. In the summer of 09 Bio was signed to RETROACTIVE RECORDS. Since then we have performed a few reunion shows. In the winter of 09 we began the recording of a long overdue sophomore Biogenesis release that will likely be called "Point Of Origin". Today's line up includes original Guitarist James Riggs, original Bassist Randy Walton and new Drummer Phil Berry. http://www.myspace.com/biogenesis
