    .."Attention to all of you post-punks out there who love the grimy groove and shining guitars of say, Wire or maybe The Fall (especially The Fall). Calling all you swirly psychedelics out there who dig the darker sides of rock, be it the meandering poetics of The Doors or hard-pounding shambles of The Stooges. Throw down your swords, quit flicking cigarettes at each other and rally around one local band for once — ..Black Lodge... Effervescent guitars screech and soar their way upward, scraping the ceiling while the bass shuffles around, stirring up static on the carpet. The drums fit in nicely with this baffling, danceable disco clatter while the vocals follow a sing-speak mantra of dystopic/ironic/dadaist poetry that you'll dig whether you're one for Morrison or one for Mark E. Smith. It's a bit punk and it's rough, but damned if it isn't grooving, damned if it doesn't have a lot of heart and damned if they don't pour all their hearts into their live shows!
