When it was a top song. I was asking myself the same question. Definently not hip hop. Thats some comercial rap shit.

I think a good way to put it is, there is a large difference between Hip-Hop and Rap. I used to think of them as the same thing, but now, I think of rap as club music, because I would never consider a song like "Snap Yo Fingaz" to belong in the Hip-Hop category. My buddy was saying that they hardly rhyme in that song. It's sad when I, someone who rarely writes, can write deeper lyrics than Lil' Jon, a famous rapper.

Unfortunately, I think Hip-Hop is an old, wise, dying man, while Rap is just a teen, with more life ahead of it.

nowadays i think this hip hop is about beats. but me personally i listen to what they gotta say. laffy tafffy is horrible. big treal keep doin you cuz the lyrics is commin back around. thats somethin you got that most of these other cats dont.one!

Cause they paid a lot of money to get that wak shit mixed and mastered. They also are paying for spins and advertising.   If undeground artist started getting their $hit mixed and mastered to commercial standards and had the money to pay for spins they'd have a chance to blow up too.
